Like most, the simple thought of having to warranty and spending 14 days stuck at home with me gives me a slight sense of dread. But once I got over these feelings, the challenge of how to keep myself busy and mentally healthy during this quarantine period began. Here is what I learned.

#1 Start by setting a routine

In my experience, the most important thing you can do to help productively use your quarantine time. Best to create a daily routine starting with a morning ritual. Whether it’s playing some cheerful music, doing some yoga stretches, simply making a morning brew of coffee, whatever you can do to help set your daily tone and do it at a set time every day. Resist the temptation to hit snooze and try to get up early every day trust me your internal clock will benefit from it following the two weeks. Resist the temptation to pick up your phone and check your messages, emails Facebook feed or whatever take at least 10 to 15 minutes to yourself first.

#2 Start by cleaning your space

The next thing you want to do is start your day in a clutter free need for a workspace that will help you relax, refuse distractions and remain calm and focused. So if you haven’t already cleared up your workspace do it now try to make your home a teen crisp place that fills you with positive energy.

#3. Plan your day

Depending on your personality, you may get away with setting a weekly schedule or even daily schedules to start off. I tried to divide my work day into 8 hours and set a task for each. I put them on the wall using post-its and put them in order, but I couldn’t miss them. I said a daily goal and put this at the top and broke this goal down into achievable pieces. Focus on what and why you are doing something want you to achieve when you completed and this will help you pick relevant daily and weekly tasks at your plan..

#4. Take a break

Respect you think you may be inactive and stuck in your home. It’s important that you take out a pleasant break. if you can get some sunshine, even just walk around your garden or go to the roof, anything that’ll help you re-energize and focus back on your goals.

#5 Avoid distractions

Obviously staying informed is important, but living on news feeds and social media platforms will not help. It’s easy to over consume news and other information, and this could easily leave you overwhelmed and feeling depressed. Beyonce yourself I will not change in the space of 24 to 48 hours. It’s time to focus on what you can do and start using your technology in a more productive manner turn off your news feeds and social media notifications and restrict your access to 30 minutes in the evenings.

#6 Eat a healthy diet

Keeping your body in mind fuels is vital to remain physically and mentally healthy during quarantine. If they focus you productively use your quarantine time trying to avoid refined sugars ready-made meals take outs on any type of junk food focus on eating seeds, nuts, fresh vegetables, and fruits, trying to cook every day. It may even be a time to try some new recipes one of my friends turned vegetarian during her 14-day quarantine. It’s been happily avoiding me for the last 3 months.

#7 Exercise for an hour every day

You have 24 hours in the day but you no longer have access to your party studio yoga studio or gym you could take advantage of many free online classes if you’re looking to remain productive during quarantine whatever you try to remain physically active for at least an hour every day. Turn my quarantine I exercise 20 minutes in the morning, 20 minutes in the afternoon and 20 minutes in the evening.

Stress anxiety and negative thoughts and quickly overwhelm you if you let them and they can kill any productivity. Meditation will help you remain focused and also help you sleep in the evening by getting you in the right headspace.

We hope that the 10 tips above will help you get through the 14-day quarantine as the thought of not being able to go to the gym see friends or family aren’t even leave your hotel room can daunt for most people I can directly affect your productivity and your mood and if you’re not careful, you’ll find yourself blue to your couch binging Netflix shows.
