5 Vacation Essentials You’ll Need for Your Trip

Going on vacation is exciting and can be a much-needed break from the stresses of everyday life – but packing for a vacation can add stress when not done properly or when you’re unorganized.

Start with these 5 vacation essentials to help you keep your packing experience organized and stress-free.

1. Packing List

Take time to think about where you’re vacationing. Is your vacation site warm or cold, does it rain a lot or is it sunny most days? This will give you direction on what to include in your packing list.

Be sure to take this list with you, that way you can use it to make sure nothing gets left behind when you leave for home. Be sure to add any souvenirs or gifts you pick up while on vacation too!

2. First-Aid Kit

A first-aid kit is great to have just in case of emergencies or unexpected illness while on vacation. Be sure to include these first aid essentials in your kit:

  • Bandaids
  • Antibiotic ointment
  • Allergy and cold medicine
  • Stomach relief (gas, nausea, bloating, indigestion, etc.)
  • Pain reliever
  • Sunburn ointment
  • Prescriptions
  • Alcohol wipes
  • Etc.

These will help you make sure any emergency that may arise is taken care of quickly.

3. Toiletry Bag

Having a bag specifically for your toiletries and hygiene supplies can help you easily find your shower supplies when your reach your destination. After traveling for an extended period you don’t want to have to unpack everything just to take a shower.

Be sure to include these items when packing a toiletry bag:

  • Shampoo and Conditioner
  • Body wash or soap

  • Sunscreen
  • Hair ties
  • Lotion
  • Etc.

4. Empty Bags

Yes, we mean empty bags just hear us out. These empty bags can be used to store souvenirs that you buy while you are there. They can also be used to separate clean laundry from dirty laundry.

Besides that, they can also be used if you have one of the bags you pack with gets damaged. These extra bags can easily be packed into other luggage without taking up to much room.

5. Electronic Equipment

Whether it’s your phone, your laptop, curling iron, blow dryer, or other electronics you’ll need to remember to bring a plug converter if you’re traveling out of the country. You’ll also need to remember to bring your chargers for phones, tablets, and laptops.

While you might be able to buy these items while you’re there, they’ll be much more expensive. So be sure to include them in your packing checklist.
